Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea 'Red Giant') - Description

HEIRLOOM. Fast-maturing "greens"; beautiful, savoyed, dark red leaves with light green undersides. Pick young leaves for mixed salads; boil, steam or stir-fry mature leaves. Older stems make good pickles. Pick 45 days for young leaves to approximately 75 days for large leaves after sowing seed. GARDEN HINTS: Cultivate or mulch to keep weed-free. Grow only for cool weather crop. Leaves get bitter in hot weather.
