Large, broad, slightly twisted lettuce-like leaves form round plants up to 16in. across. Heart is very deep, well-blanched, creamy white with buttery texture. Ready about 90 days after seed sowing. GARDEN HINTS: For earlier spring harvest, start seeds indoors in a well-lighted area 6-8 weeks before last heavy frost.
