Lily of The Valley (Convallaria majalis) - Description
C. majalis is native to many northern regions of the Old World, and naturalized in the United States and Canada. It blooms for a short period in the early spring, bearing small, sweet-scented, waxy white bells along one side. It also bears broad, glossy green leaves with bright red berries that may appear in the fall.

Rhizomatous perennials. Convallarias will grow 6-8 in. high. Does best in full sun to full shade. Grow Convallaria in a woodland garden. Can also use as a groundcover in a border that is damp and shady. If an indoor flower display is desired, lift and pot up rhizomes in fall. Plants may require some gentle force to encourage growth. Replant outdoors after the flowering season.
