Muskmelon (Cucumis melo 'Venus Hybrid') - Description
Honey Dew with 5in.X6in. oval fruits. Bright green flesh with superb sweetness, flavor and aroma. ready to pick about 88 days after sowing. GARDEN HINTS: To get a head start, sow 2-3 seeds in individual peat pots indoors 3-4 weeks before outdoor planting date. Grow in a sunny spot or under plant lights. Later, thin to one best seedling per pot. Transfer to garden in peat pots. Fruits are ripe when the stem attached to the melon slips away with light pressure from the thumb.
