Uniform, Nantes-type roots color fast, providing an extended season of harvest. Ready to harvest in about 70 days. Pick 7 1/2" long, for its best, fresh from the garden. Carrots are delicious in all stages of their growth and a major source of beta-carotene. They make wonderful portable snacks! Young carrot tops can be used in soup. 1500 seeds will sow a 40' row. GARDEN HINTS: Sow seed in deep, well-worked stone-free soil. Do not transplant as crooked roots may result. Sow directly in the ground after danger of heavy frost in the spring. Grows best in full sun.
