Silk Oak (Grevillea robusta) - Description
G. robusta is native to the weedy parts of Hawaii. it bears ferny golden green to deep green leaes above, and silvery beneath. It produces large clusters of bright golden orange flowers in early spring.

Too much phosphorus can prevent blooming. Flowers are petalless. Some species, like G. alpina, bloom year round.

Grow in open sunny position. Many are tolerant of drought and frost.
