Alumroot (Heuchera x 'Pinot Gris') - Description

Heuchera 'Pinot Gris' is another uniquely colored hybrid from France that was bred to grow well in areas of high heat and humidity. The young spring foliage of Heuchera 'Pinot Gris' is ginger colored with a light silver overlay over the whole leaf. As the summer temperatures warm up, the leaves turn a smoky-rose color and the silvery overlay becomes much more pronounced. Small white flowers are produced on wand-like stems in mid summer.

Alumroot (Heuchera x 'Pinot Gris') - Blooming

Heuchera blooms from April to August, sprays of small flowers apear on branching, wiry stems. The dainty flowers some times attract hummingbirds. Remove the flower stems, when the flowers fade.
