Delicate fern-like foliage contrasts with the beautiful pink, white, red and purple flower colors. Seed heads prized for dried arrangements from midsummer on. Annual. Ht:12-18". GARDEN HINT: Sow directly in the garden tends to resent transplanting.

Blooms in summer with pink blue, yellow, or white flowers. Each flower contains 5-petal like sepals and 5-10 smaller 2-lipped true petals.

Erect, bushy annuals. Does best with full sun or partial shade and can reach 1 1/2 ft. in height and 10 inches wide. Nigella works best in an informal, mixed, or annual border. The flowers are long-lasting. The capsules are inflated and are often dried and used in flower ensembles.
