Vigorous plants produce one of the most winter hardy kales. Thick, heavily ruffled blue-green leaves have superb flavor. This hybrid tends to be more uniform in size, leaf texture and color. Especially sweet after a light frost. Ready to harvest in 30 days for baby greens or 60 days for mature greens. Resistant to bolting in mildly hot weather.

Kale is a cool-season biennial, grown as an annual. The color and flavor of Kale are enhanced with cool weather. Kale is able to remain hardy to below zero temperatures if adequately protected.

For summer harvest, plant kale 4 weeks before the last frost date in spring. For fall, or early winter harvest, plant kale 6 weeks before your first frost date in fall. Sow seeds 1/2" deep, and space 1" apart in rows 2-3 feet apart. In time, thin seedlings to 1 foot apart.
