Japanese Barberry (Berberis thunbergii) - Description
B. thunbergii can reach heights of 4 to 6 feet tall, with equal spread. It is densely covered with roundish, 0.5 to 1.5 inch long leaves that are deep green above and paler beneath. The leaves turn yellow, orange, and red before they fall.
