Warty Barberry (Berberis verruculosa) - Description
B. verruculosa is native to China. This neat and tailored-looking plan will reach heights of 4 to 5 feet tall and wide, but can be kept to 1.5 feet. It bears 1 inch long glossy dark green leaves, that are whitish beneath. In the fall and winter, odd red leafs develop. It also bears black berries with a purplish bloom.
