Royal Velvet Pansy (Viola x 'Purple Rain') - Description
A completely unique spreading pansy that creates solid mats of royal purple color. It bears masses of pert blooms on tall, strong stems. As hardy as a viola, this pansy outperforms all others in over-wintering trials and blooms two weeks earlier. Space plants 8-12" apart. Ht.8". Burpee Exclusive. Part Shade-Full Sun. Anuuals, biennials, evergreen, semi-evergreen, deciduos perennials and some deciduous subshrubs. Violas can withstand full sun to partial shade with few exceptions. Violas make great bedding plants, but excel in containers as well. Plants can exhibit weed-like behavior. Self-seeding occurs at fairly high rates.
