Common Immortelle (Xeranthemum annuum) - Description
True 1-1/2" everlastings that bloom July to frost. Silky white, pink, rose, red to purple. Excellent dried or fresh. Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting outdoors. Heat tolerant; best in light soils. Ht:2'. Sun. Annual.

Blooms come in a variety of different colors such as pink, lavender, white, and violet. Borne in summer and fall, daisy-like flowerheads surrounded by papery bracts. Flowers for cutting should be cut before the blooms have fully opened. Hang them upside down in a cool, dark area with good ventilation.
