Mexican Orange (Choisya ternata) - Description
C. ternata is fast growing, bearing lustrous, rich green leaves with clusters of fragrant white flowers.

Produces clusters of star-shaped, white fragrant flowers that resemble orange blossoms. Blooms first in late spring, and again in late summer and autumn.
Mexican Orange (Choisya ternata) - Growth
Hardy evergreen shrub that grows quickly to 8 ft. tall. Can survive at temperatures as low as 15°F/-9°C. Does best with full sun. Grow Choisya in a shrub border or against a wall. In areas where Choisya does not grow hardy, raise plants in a cool greenhouse with a minimum temperature of 35°F (2°C). During the day, set temperatures between 41-50°F (5-10°C), and at night, keep the temperature at 36°F (2°C).
Mexican Orange (Choisya ternata) - Planting
In summer, propagate by rooting semi-ripe cuttings. Semi-ripe cuttings are cuttings taken from semi-mature wood.
Mexican Orange (Choisya ternata) - Pest
Slugs and snails.
Mexican Orange (Choisya ternata) - Soil and irrigation
Soils need to be neutral to acidic. They don't do well in soils that are high in salts. Does best in fertile, well-draining soil. Water freely during the growing season, more moderately in winter.
