Trailing Spikemoss (Selaginella kraussiana) - Interesting facts

One species of this genus, S. lepidophylla, is known commonly as either the Resurrection Plant or the Rose of Jericho. The name Resurrection Plant refers to this species ability to almost completely dry out for many, many years, and then be able to "resurrect" once moisture is reintroduced. When dry, the stems will curl up, and the plant will somewhat resemble a small tumbleweed. It will be brown in color and dry to the touch. When water is reintroduced, the plant will start to uncurl and become green again.

Trailing Spikemoss (Selaginella kraussiana) - Soil and irrigation

Soil should be well-drained and slightly acidic to neutral in pH.
