Eutrochium Maculatum (Eupatorium maculatum) - Description

Eutrochium maculatum (spotted Joe-Pye weed) is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is native to North America, ranging from Missouri east to the Atlantic Ocean and as far north as Ontario and Quebec, south to Kentucky. It is an herbaceous perennial growing to 2 m (6 ft 7 in) with rose-purple flowers in late summer.
