Spider Flower (Grevillea johnsonii) - Description

Grevillea johnsonii (Johnson's Grevillea) is a shrub species which is endemic to New South Wales in Australia. It grows to between 2 and 4. 5 metres high. The leaves are 10 to 25 cm long and have narrow lobes that are 0. 7 to 1. 5 mm wide. Flowers appear between August and November (late winter to late spring) in the species native range.

Too much phosphorus can prevent blooming. Flowers are petalless. Some species, like G. alpina, bloom year round.
