Rhipsalis Salicornioides (Hatiora salicornioides) - Description
Rhipsalis salicornioides (also called Hatiora salicornioides, Dancing Bones Cactus, Drunkard's Dream, Spice Cactus) is originally a forest cactus, growing as epiphytes at elevations between 0 and 1850 meters in Brazil. It is sometimes grown both indoors and outdoors as an ornamental. The plant is made of many-branched stems that are up to 60 cm in length.
Rhipsalis Salicornioides (Hatiora salicornioides) - Blooming
Flower buds form on new stems in fall (they are long night/short day plants); however, they need some time and cool temperatures (around 50-55°F (10-12°C)) for the flower buds to fully develop and open.

Temperatures above 100°F (38°C) are detrimental to the plants. Does best in lower light conditions which is indicative of where they natively grow. Cacti in the genus Hatiora grow on the branches of trees, which shade the cacti. Does well with high humidity.
