Physostegia virginiana 'Vivid' has deep pink snapdragon-like stalks of cup shaped flowers. Each upright flower stalk has many flower buds that open sequentially from bottom to top. Physostegia virginiana 'Vivid' is a wonderful groundcover that spreads naturally by underground runners and makes stunning displays of flowers from June to September.
