Stachys densiflora 'Hummelo' has sturdy spikes of rosy-lavender that make an impressive display in mid summer. Unlike the more common types of Stachys, which have soft silvery foliage, 'Hummelo' has glossy dark green foliage which remains attractive all season.

Blooms tubular, 2-lipped flowers in white, yellow, pink, red, or purple. Often attracts bees and butterflies. Most species are malodorous.
