Heavy-blooming cross between big American and little French marigolds combines vigor and neat habit. Plants can't set seed, so they keep on blooming. Nugget Supreme Yellow Extremely weather-tolerant triploid, surpassing all other marigolds in its class. Compact 12" plants are blanketed with 2" double flowers in a sunny shade of yellow. Flowers from early summer until frost. To get earlier blooms, start seeds indoors earlier in the season. Deadhead to lengthen the flowering period.

Does well with fast-draining soils. When water avoid overhead irrigation (especially for the species T. erecta, African Marigold) as the taller stems may break from the weight of the water. Irrigate by flooding the soil or avoid the tall stems. Water liberally during drought. The flowerheads of African Marigolds rot in wet weather conditions.
