Foamflower (Tiarella x 'Sugar and Spice') - Description
Tiarella 'Sugar & Spice' is the result of extensive breeding efforts at Terra Nova Nurseries and perhaps the best Tiarella ever! The dramatic, lacy leaves are painted with heavily marked dark centers and have a shiny appearance that almost appears to be lacquered. In spring, a profusion of lightly fragrant bottlebrush flowers are displayed for a very long time. The flowers of Tiarella 'Sugar & Spice' are white with a unique pink frosting.

Inflorescences are borne on narrow, erect stems from spring to summer. Colors can be white or pink.

Rhizomatous herbaceous perennial. Needs partial to full shade. Plants clump together and can reach up to 1 1/2 ft. tall. Works best as a groundcover for a woodland garden or shady border. T. cordifolia is fast-spreading.
