Golden Water Zinnia (Wedelia trilobata) - Description
Sphagneticola trilobata, commonly known as the Singapore Daisy, Creeping-oxeye, Trailing Daisy, and Wedelia. is a plant in the Heliantheae tribe of the Asteraceae (sunflower) family. It is native to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, but now grows throughout the Neotropics. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental groundcover.

Blooms almost year-round with daisy-like yellow flowerheads while in the sun but blooms sparsely in shade.

Erect, prostrate, or climbing, hairy annuals, evergreen perennials, and soft-stemmed or woody shrubs. The Wedelia spreads quickly by creeping, rooting stems. Less hardy plants should be grown as houseplants or in a warm greenhouse. Also works outdoors during the summer in containers. In warm regions, W. trilobata works well as a rapidly spreading groundcover and grows under trees in dry shade.
