Pendula Yucca (Yucca recurvifolia) - Description

Yucca gloriosavar. tristis (syn. Yucca recurvifolia, Yucca gloriosa var. recurvifolia), known as curve-leaf yucca or pendulous yucca, is a variety of Yucca gloriosa. It is often grown as an ornamental plant, but is native to the southeastern United States. In contrast to Y. gloriosa var. tristis, the leaves of Y. gloriosa var. gloriosa are hard stiff, erect and narrower.

Rosette-forming or woody based perennials, evergreen shrubs and trees. Yuccas do well in full sun. Height varies depending on variety. Some species will grow to 30 ft. in height. Works best as an ornamental plant for a courtyard or border. Also works as a container plant. Less hardy, tender Yuccas, should be grown in a cool or temperate greenhouse or conservatory.
