Coral Vine (Antigonon leptopus) - Description
A. leptopus is native to Mexico. This tuberous-rooted perennial vine grows quickly to heights as tall as 40 feet. It's leaves are 3 to 5 inches long arrow or heart shaped.

Blooms from midsummer to fall. Flowers appear in trailing sprays. They are small and pink.
Coral Vine (Antigonon leptopus) - Growth
Tendril climbers. Grows very quickly especially where summers are long and hot. Vine climbs via tendrils. Evergreen where winters are mild, but in climates that freeze the vine will die back to the roots. In climates where temperatures dip below 25F/-4C, roots should be protected with mulch. In areas where temperatures reach below 45F (7C), Antigonon will grow best in a temperate greenhouse or conservatory. In warmer areas, Antigonon works well trained over a pergola, against a house wall, or through a tree.
