A. heterophylla is native to Norfolk Island near Australia. It has a moderate growth rate to heights of 100 feet tall and 60 feet wide. It is pyramidal shaped, with rather narrow 1/2 inch juvenile leaves that are long, curved, and sharp-pointed.
