Basket of Gold (Aurinia saxatilis) - Description
Aurinia saxatilis is a mustard relative native to mountains of central and southern Europe and Turkey. It's gray leaves form a spreading evergreen mound 8 to 12 inches high, but it's dwarf forms are half as tall. It bears dense clusters of single or double, tiny yellow to apricot flowers which bloom in spring and early summer.

Does well in full sun or light shade. Grows to 12 inches tall, although there are dwarf forms that reach half as high.

Does well as a foreground plant in borders and in rock gardens. Plant at least 1 1/2 ft. apart. In spring or autumn, sow seeds in containers in a cold frame. Root softwood cuttings in early summer.
