Royal Velvet Pansy (Viola x 'Princess Blue') - Description
Flowers in blue, 1" across, bloom on bushy, compact plants in the cool weather. Excellent for rock gardens, beds and containers. For earlier spring bloom in North, sow midsummer in a shady seedbed or cold frame. Protect over winter; transplant to garden in spring. In mild areas, sow in fall for winter and spring bloom. Remove spent flowers to increase flower production.

Anuuals, biennials, evergreen, semi-evergreen, deciduos perennials and some deciduous subshrubs. Violas can withstand full sun to partial shade with few exceptions. Violas make great bedding plants, but excel in containers as well. Plants can exhibit weed-like behavior. Self-seeding occurs at fairly high rates.
