Pelargonium 'Geranium Caliente Lavender' is a nice cross between Ivy and Zonal Geraniums (Pelargonium). The beautiful magenta / pink blooms and nice mounding and branching habit make this a great choice for most gardens. This is great container plant that doesn't fear getting lots of sunlight. If this plant is out of its hardy zone of 9 to 11, it can still be grown as an annual quite nicely in colder regions.

Plants in the genus Pelargonium are often times mistaken as members of the genus Geranium. Plants in Pelargonium do have the common name of Geranium, but from a botanical standpoint they are not true Geraniums. Pelargoniums are mostly native to South Africa, while true Geraniums are native to the Northern Hemisphere. Pelargoniums have woody bases and are all perennials, whereas true Geraniums are not all woody-based and include both annuals and perennials.
