Norway spruce (Picea abies) is a species of spruce native to Europe. It is also commonly referred to as the European spruce.

Cooley Spruce gall adelgid is an insect similar to the aphid that feeds on the tips of branches of Spruces and causes a green gall to form. The galls gradually turn color to a light purplish tan.
