'Fairy Tale' Eggplant is an All-America Winner. The tender, plump and sweet, luscious-looking, mini marvels are little jewels of delicious creamy flavor. The short, slender fruits make tasty conversation pieces, with their beautifully marbled purple and white tones. In clusters of six fruits, the mini eggplants 4"-5" x 1" grow on prolifically branching compact plants. This plant is perfect for growing in containers and of course belongs in any kitchen garden.

Does best with humidity and heat. Day time temperatures above 80°F are preferable. Night time temperatures below 70°F can decrease fruit yield. In cold climates protect young plants with floating row covers to increase the temperature directly around the plant.

Sow seeds in an area protected from the cold up to 2 months before the projected last frost of winter. Plant the seedlings in the ground 2 weeks after the threat of frost has passed. (Leaving your eggplant to grow in a container is not necessarily bad. They generally thrive in the heat that the container provides). The soil temperatures should be above 60°F. Plant in rows that are over 2' apart. Each plant should be given at least 18" of space in between individual plants in a single row.
