Manchurian Lilac (Syringa patula 'Miss Kim') - Description

This very popular version of Lilac is a heavy bloomer in the garden. It has a wider spread than height, so it will fill an open space very nicely. It would be hard to imagine anything better to screen a fence line or a neighbor's house when loaded up with it's lilac blue blooms. Just when you think the show is over for the season it's foliage will turn a pleasing purple color before dropping it's leaves for the winter.

Lilacs are known for their very fragrant and beautiful flowers. Depending on environmental conditions, the bloom time ranges from early spring to early summer. The flowers are borne in clusters.Most Lilacs require cold winters to promote the best set of blooms.
