Treat yourself to a lavish display of colorful tulips - Red, pink, lavender, yellow, purple, orange, white, and bicolors. Includes Triumph, Darwin, Single Early and Single Late tulips. Ht.16-26". Spacing 6-12". Sun-Part Shade. Blooms Apr-May. Zones 3-8.

Tulips will bloom in March-May and come in many different colors. Generally, the bulbs require some cooling period in order to produce flowers. This cooling period usually lasts 8 to 10 weeks. The temperature should be in the low 40s to promote the best flower induction.

Many would readily associate tulips with Holland; however, these flowers are not native to Northern Europe at all. Tulips were originally from Turkey, Afghanistan and Iran. They are found in the mountainous regions of those countries, which explains why they need a cold period during winter in order flower properly. Plant parts can irritate the skin upon contact.
