As you could see in my article I recently acquired the Worx Landroid L1000.
Frankly, for the moment, I am fully satisfied, it is really top notch.
The only small hitch is that it sometimes gets stuck when it has to turn on slopes and slips outside the perimeter established by the wire.
I had to find a solution to this problem and one of the simple solutions is to put notched rings on the wheels of the Landroid so that it gets studs.
Ordering of the toothed crowns for Worx
So I ordered these cleats on Amazon and received them a few days later.
Attention for the Worx Landroid L1000 WR147E1, the diameter of the crowns must be 225 mm!

The package includes 2 notched steel crowns as well as the screws necessary for the fixing.
Installation of the ring gears on the Worx Landroid wheels
The installation is quite simple.
First of all, you have to position the crown on the landroid wheel:

You must then measure in order to properly position the crown on the wheel.

When you have correctly positioned your crown, you can screw the screws directly into the wheel of the Landroid !
That’s it and your Landroid becomes a real 4X4 !

As you can see with the picture above, there is no problem, the crown goes on very well and does not rub against the Landroid housing.
I have filmed and I share with you the video of the robot with the crowns mounted.
It’s really the best with these crowns, the worx doesn’t slip and doesn’t block outside the perimeter defined by the wire.
I recommend you to install this accessory which should really be included with the robot considering the price!

I also decided to give it “eyes” by installing the ACS WA0860 anti-collision system.
